New in the Etsy Store

I’ve added new items to my Etsy Store. There are several original pieces of art that are old favorites of mine, some limited edition giclee canvas prints, and a few photo prints currently for sale in the shop.

What you see in the store is just a small sample of what I have. Many of the original artworks in the portfolio are available and I’m able create art and photo prints of nearly all my art and photography.

Art Flashback: Inside Out 1 & 2

from 2008: “Inside Out 1 & 2″
hand painted/drawn photo manipulations, 5″x7″ each
model: Carole Faye

I’m surprised I haven’t done more photo manipulations quite like this pair. Each photo was turned into a high contrast black and white print, then I painted and/or drew on both of them to add color and create the mid-tones. I liked the results and, looking at them again, I might look into doing more soon.

“Inside Out 1 & 2″ are currently available in my Etsy shop. Each original piece is matted, framed, and ready to be displayed in your home. You can also buy prints in my Art & Photo Print Shop.

Afterglow

model: Carlotta Champagne

No, her butt doesn’t normally emit light and glow like that. Maybe in someone’s crazy dream, but not in reality.

You can get a print of “Afterglow” from my Art & Photo Print Shop. I’m also available for model photography sessions.

Rebellion/Subversion

“Rebellion/Subversion”
acrylic, graphite, colored pencil & china marker on 36″x24″ canvas

It’s seems  like it’s been too long since I’ve done a large painting. It felt good to go back into the studio, get my hands messy, and be focused on creating art for hours at a time. I posted a sketch of “Rebellion/Subversion” a couple weeks ago. A few things changed from that initial drawing, but the basic idea behind the painting stayed the same.

I think you could say I create dark and gothic art that sometimes has fetish or bondage overtones. Part of that is because I like that aesthetic. Another reason is that there is some symbolism and thought that goes into certain elements I include. The theme behind this is in the title. A collar can be used as control. However, people have the desire to break free of control although it can cause pain.

You can purchase a print of “Rebellion/Subversion” in my Art & Photo Print Shop. The original painting is also available for sale. Contact me for details.

Classy Ass

model: Vaunt
hair & makeup: Tami Milicia

Another photo of Vaunt from our shoot at the W Hotel. I just realized it’s been a month since that photography session. Time goes by fast and I’m starting to feel like I’m posting outdated content (I kid, I kid).

You can purchase a print of “Classy Ass” from my Art & Photo Print Shop. I’m also available for and booking model photography sessions.

Cariño

model: Leeann Leah

Every now and then I look through photos of models from shoots I had a while back to see if there’s anything I like but might have missed. This shot of Leeann from my trip to New York last September is one of those.

You can purchase a print of “Cariño” from my Art & Photo Print Shop. I’m also available for and booking model photography sessions.

Everlong

model: Eva Strangelove

What you don’t know is that would just not come off and we wound up taking one hundred shots of her pulling on it for an hour. (And that was the most unintentional double entendre I’ve ever done…)

You can purchase a print of “Everlong” from my Art & Photo Print Shop.

One Flight Down

model: Vaunt

Another shot from our photo shoot last month at the W Hotel in Austin. That place made me want to do a home makeover. I want to steal their interior decorator.

You can purchase a print of “One Flight Down” from my Art & Photo Print Shop. I’m also available for model photography sessions.

Nummy, Nummy, Num

model: Luna Devise

Mmmm… tasty.

I really enjoyed working with Luna Devise when I was in Detroit in February. It’s always great to find like-minded individuals with wicked, fun sensibilities to collaborate with. It’s too bad a few I’ve met are in other parts of the country. It does give me an excuse to go on trips though and see people I know I can create good images with.

You can purchase a print of “Nummy, Nummy, Num” in the Art & Photo Print Shop.

Girl Who Stole the Star

model: Eva Strangelove

It may not be apparent in the pictures, but I can end up being pretty active during photo shoots. In order to get the best angles, I do things like roll around on the floor and hold odd poses. I don’t mind it much when I get shots I like… plus I don’t have to feel bad about skipping a proper workout that day because I had to get ready for a shoot.
